The Little Book Press is the publishing arm of Raising Literacy Australia, the lead agency delivering the Words Grow Minds campaign. Its vision is to produce high quality picture books, board books, and educational resources for families and early childhood services.
Each Little Book Press title is carefully and thoughtfully designed to spark young children’s imagination and support their foundational literacy and numeracy development. The aim is to expose children to high-quality resources that support their brain development in the formative years.
We know that a well-written book whether fiction or nonfiction can capture a child’s imagination. Not every child can visit a farm, ride on a tractor, walk with the dinosaurs, or fly an aeroplane. However, a picture book can immerse a child in that experience.
All proceeds from Little Book Press book sales go back to creating and supporting Raising Literacy Australia’s literacy programs – like Words Grow Minds – that provide reading packs, books, training and resources that help families to nurture children’s development and establish a love of reading and lifelong learning.
